Senior Microprocessor Designer

We're looking for an experienced Senior Microprocessor Designer to lead our physical design team in creating innovative designs for AMD's CPU Cores.

  • You'll be the primary technical contact for your focus area and work closely with peers in technology and design reviews.
  • Quantify impacts of technology issues in design reviews and represent the CPU Cores to executive management from a technical perspective.
  • Work cross-functionally across the CPU Cores team to identify and assess complex technical issues/risks, and develop solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Primary technical contact for your focus area
  • Pro-actively works with peers in technology and design reviews
  • Quantify impacts of technology issues in design reviews
  • Represent the CPU Cores to executive management from a technical perspective
  • Work cross-functionally across CPU Cores team to identify and assess complex technical issues/risks, and develop solutions

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience leading technical teams
  • Experienced in high-speed microprocessor designs
  • Ability to create new design ideas and flow
  • Knowledge of current sub-micro technologies
  • Solid understanding Physical Design tools and flows or custom circuit design
