Lead CPU Design Implementation and Signoff

The ideal candidate for this Senior Manager role will lead a team of engineers focused on delivering high-quality, next-generation CPU Core designs. This includes applying extensive knowledge in Physical Design, Timing Closure, and Signoff to achieve optimal Power, Performance, and Area (PPA) targets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing a high-performing team dedicated to Microprocessor Physical Design implementation and signoff.
  • Applying in-depth knowledge of Physical Design tools and flows, including Full Chip Floor planning, Clock Tree Synthesis, Placement and Optimization, Routing, Parasitic Extraction, Static Timing Analysis, IR/EM analysis, Physical Verification, and Final Signoff.
  • Mentoring, coaching, and fostering the growth of the CPU Core Physical Design Team while emphasizing a positive influence on team morale and culture.
  • Collaborating closely with RTL teams to enhance PPA metrics through continuous design optimization.
  • Driving flow development and automation scripting.
  • Utilizing strong technical problem-solving and debugging skills to overcome complex design challenges.

Preferred qualifications include 15+ years of hands-on experience in SoC Physical Design implementation, signoff, and TapeOut, as well as proven leadership experience managing Physical Design teams of 10+ members.

Additionally, candidates should possess exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with meticulous attention to detail, as well as strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
