We are seeking a seasoned software developer to join our team in Limerick. As a key member of our development team, you will play a vital role in creating and enhancing our environmental software products.

Your primary focus will be on developing, maintaining, and delivering high-quality software solutions that align with agreed requirements and designs. You will work closely with our team of developers using the latest versions of Microsoft Visual Studio (C#, ASP.NET) and Microsoft SQL Server.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing software products in accordance with defined standards and requirements.
  • Contributing to the specification, development, and testing of software solutions.
  • Delivering software development projects as a standalone or team member of internal agile and outsourced development teams.
  • Providing project updates to senior management.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Strong technical knowledge of Web Technologies such as .NET Core, Web API, C#, JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS3.
  • Experience developing applications in C#, ASP.NET, or SQL Server (other OO languages like Java will be considered).
  • Strong experience with Angular, preferably, or React, Vue, or Typescript (not essential).
  • Good understanding of Design Patterns and Principles.
  • Fluent in MS SQL Server, database, and programming.
  • Good knowledge of Object-Oriented Design and Development.
  • Experience with web services and REST API.
  • Familiarity with security mechanisms including web and web service security and their implementations.
  • Experience in writing Unit test cases.
Qualifications and Attributes

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or equivalent.
  • 5-10 years' experience in an IT environment, specializing in Software Development (a distinct advantage).
  • Excellent communication and personal skills, enabling effective relationships with customers, colleagues, suppliers, and third parties.
  • High levels of drive and energy.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
