Job Title

Quality Assurance Specialist - Galway


Our team is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to provide quality support for site activities, ensuring compliance with standards and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in quality assurance and the ability to communicate effectively.

The successful candidate will maintain quality systems and drive continuous improvement initiatives. They will identify and resolve complex exceptions, make decisions related to product quality, and promote awareness of best industry practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and resolve complex exceptions to work assignments
  • Making decisions on product quality, including non-conforming product disposition
  • Continually driving improvements in product and process quality
  • Knowledgeable on regulatory requirements, promoting awareness of best industry practices
  • Fully conversant with validation techniques and associated regulatory requirements
  • Evaluating new equipment/processes/chemicals for environmental impact
  • Compiling and analysing operational, test and validation data to establish technical specifications
  • May participate directly in new product/technology transfer to ensure compliance to all internal and regulatory requirements
  • Uses knowledge of Lean principles to investigate and solve problems
  • Possesses excellent collaboration skills
  • Giving technical guidance to peers


Requirements:
  • A Level 8 Degree or equivalent in an Engineering or Science-related discipline
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working at Engineering level, ideally within the industry
  • Experience with audit processes
  • A team player, who can demonstrate best practices in line with departmental objectives
