Job Title: Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist
Job Description:The role of a clinical specialist physiotherapist is to provide expert care to patients with pelvic health issues. This involves working closely with urogynaecology consultants and healthcare professionals to provide advanced physiotherapy assessment, management, and treatment for patients referred from gynaecology services.
Key Responsibilities:- Triage urogynaecology referrals and manage waiting lists efficiently
- Provide initial care and coordinate with the urogynaecology service as needed
- Attend clinics alongside relevant consultants or specialist registrars
- Manage urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and related conditions following relevant guidelines
- Evaluate and develop the clinical specialist role through audits and research
- Provide expert clinical leadership for Women's Health and Continence senior/physiotherapy colleagues
- Represent the organization in external lectures and participate in national groups to enhance care standards nationally
- Evaluate services, record KPIs, and report findings to Senior Management
