Job Opportunity: Healthcare Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate individual to join our team as a Healthcare Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Head of the Day Center for the Elderly in managing the center's operations. The successful candidate will have experience in compliance, HACCP, and standards in a healthcare environment.

The Day Center fosters the well-being of older persons, providing various facilities such as lunch, keep-fit classes, hairdressing, physiotherapy, and outings. As a Healthcare Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the center's standards and regulations are met, including those related to food safety and safeguarding.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting the Head in running the center
  • Ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations
  • Liaising with staff and attendees on a daily basis
  • Implementing and monitoring procedures
  • Training staff where necessary
  • Managing staff shifts
  • Overseeing food distribution


This is a 6-month contract initially, with potential for permanency for the right candidate. To apply, you should have QQI Level 5, care skills, healthcare support, HACCP training, knowledge of Hiqa, and the Health Act 2007-2013. Strong communication and administrative skills are also essential.
