Electrical Engineering Leadership

The ideal candidate will lead electrical engineering activities on various construction projects, collaborating with project managers to establish goals and objectives. This role involves coordinating technical design with onsite installation through to successful commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive electrical design reviews to identify gaps, deviations, or contradictions in specifications.
  • Validate cable & containment sizing and provide recommendations as necessary.
  • Ensure timely completion of technical assessments and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Prepare and submit electrical technical submittals.
  • Collaborate with value engineering teams to develop and implement proposals.
  • Manage submittal processes, track procurement and delivery of electrical equipment, and verify receipt upon delivery.
  • Participate in supply chain meetings to monitor progress within the construction schedule.
  • Update and record progress on system trackers aligned with the construction schedule.
  • Coordinate CAD/BIM modeling in line with the M&E services coordination plan.
  • Review electrical installation designs with the CAD/BIM team for constructibility and space considerations.
  • Engage with design teams and supply chain partners for operational success and handover.
  • Conduct electrical system walk-downs to ensure compliance with specifications and drawings.
  • Compile test packs, FTOPs, and O&Ms for approval.
  • Oversee specialist vendors during commissioning to ensure timely completion.
  • Review tenders technically when required.
  • Mentor junior and graduate engineers.
  • Provide client training as per the training plan.
  • Adhere to quality standards in line with ISO 9001:2015 and the quality management system.
