Fire Systems Specialist

 

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Fire Systems Specialist. This is a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of fire detection and suppression systems.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commission and service fire detection, alarm, and suppression systems to agreed customer specifications.
  • Maintain and inspect emergency lighting and fire extinguishers according to contractual requirements.
  • Provide regular reports on activities to enable management to plan strategic direction for the fire systems team.
  • Ensure accurate use of PDA tools and close jobs with required information for prompt invoicing and certification.
  • Account for company property, vehicles, stock, test equipment, and tools.
  • Support sales teams by specifying customer needs during on-site inspections.
  • Respond promptly to customer queries and resolve issues courteously.
  • Attend product training as necessary and maintain comprehensive knowledge of client's product range.

 

Requirements:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of fire industry standards.
  • Experience in standard and complex fire suppression systems.
  • Ability to manage large projects from design through to completion.
  • Proven experience of commissioning large projects with complex strategies.
  • Extensive knowledge of conventional and analogue fire alarm systems.
  • Experience working with major fire alarm brands, including air sampling systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Full clean driving license essential.
  • Electrical background advantageous.

 

This role requires a highly skilled professional with a strong technical background in fire safety and commissioning.
