Compliance Analyst

We are seeking a skilled Compliance Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Head of Compliance in the development, implementation, and maintenance of our Compliance Framework and Anti-Money Laundering Framework.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drafting Reports: Assist in drafting reports to regulatory bodies, including the EMCE, Board, and governance committees.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Participate in the execution of our compliance plan, which includes full compliance monitoring reviews, thematic reviews, and provision of necessary training.
  • Regulatory Updates: Maintain a regulatory horizon scanner, monitoring deadlines for implementation of new regulatory developments, and hold regular meetings with the Head of Regulatory Development.
  • Review and Interpretation: Review new regulatory developments, draft a comprehensive synopsis of your interpretation, and outline how it may impact the business.
  • Liaison and Support: Provide support for all requests for information from regulatory bodies and liaise with supervision teams regarding material issues.
  • Policies and Procedures: Take a lead role in updating policies by supporting the Head of Compliance in annual updates.
  • Delegation Oversight: Lead the oversight of delegates, including annual due diligence on fund administrators and insight global.
  • AML Function: Support the Head of Compliance in their AML function through drafting MLRO reports, BNY AML Risk Assessments, reviewing and updating the IIMEL AML policy and AML risk assessment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Previous experience (2+ years) within a compliance or regulatory role in an asset manager or other fund service provider.
  • Good knowledge of the regulatory framework for fund management companies is preferable but not necessary.
  • Proficient working with Microsoft Office products.
  • Interest in and understanding of the asset management sector and fund structures.
  • Good problem-solving and analytic skills required.
  • A strong ability to build and maintain relationships with colleagues in different locations, teams, and relative seniorities.
