Job Summary

The Tax Manager will play a pivotal role in the tax planning function, working closely with senior stakeholders and external advisors to manage cross-jurisdictional tax projects. The ideal candidate has exceptional communication and leadership skills, relevant tax technical expertise, and a proven track record in implementing projects and workstreams.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the planning, analysis, and implementation of international tax projects
  • Lead tax planning initiatives such as IP strategy development, intercompany debt financing, restructuring of entities, organizational structure optimization, and elimination of redundant entities
  • Provide strategic advice to business leaders on corporate income tax considerations relevant to global mobility and location optimization
  • Analyze and interpret global tax guidance from external experts, collaborating with business and finance teams to implement effective solutions
  • Serve as the tax representative on cross-functional project teams, driving collaboration and results
  • Review jurisdictional accounting results and transfer prices to ensure alignment with company policies and target profits
  • Manage relationships with external advisors, ensuring effective partnership and value delivery

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Audit and taxation qualifications or equivalent preferred
  • Professional accounting certification preferred
  • 5-10 years of experience in Big Four or corporate in-house tax departments highly desired
  • Technical knowledge around international tax issues, including Pillar 2, foreign tax credits, transfer pricing, GILTI, Subpart F, BEPS, and OECD developments
  • Familiarity with tax software and research engines an advantage
