Job Title: Retail Sales Assistant

This role involves working as a customer-facing team member in a retail store environment, responsible for handling customer inquiries and providing exceptional service. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be well-organised and methodical, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role:
  • As a Retail Sales Assistant, you will be the primary point of contact for customers within the store, ensuring a positive experience through effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, processing transactions efficiently, and adhering to company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
  1. Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional manner.
  2. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety standards and company regulations.
  3. Process transactions accurately and efficiently, using computer-based systems to manage sales and inventory.
  4. Assist with stock control, including receiving and storing merchandise, and reporting any discrepancies or damage to management.
  5. Participate in team meetings to discuss store operations, share knowledge, and receive feedback.
  6. Develop and maintain knowledge of products and services offered, staying up-to-date with new releases and promotions.
Requirements:
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers from diverse backgrounds.
  • Prior experience in a retail environment, with a strong understanding of sales processes and procedures.
  • Basic IT skills, including familiarity with computer-based systems and software.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
