Job Title: International Trade Specialist

As an International Trade Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating the seamless movement of goods across international borders. This challenging and rewarding position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and submit accurate customs entries in line with Irish Customs regulations and company procedures.
  • Coordinate the process of customs clearance documentation for our customer base.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence checks and escalate issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with the operational team to ensure accurate information is readily available.
  • Daily interaction with customs authorities.
  • Work closely with key account customers to deliver exceptional customer service and meet their needs.
  • Ensure Duty/VAT is processed correctly and collected as required.
  • Resolve any queries/refunds promptly and effectively.
  • Develop solutions to improve clients' experience and resolve any delays or issues.
  • Maintain data quality on our Supply Chain Visibility platform to guarantee accurate information is presented to customers.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest Customs Regulations updates and changes.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in completing customs entries in a freight forwarding environment.
  • Experience with Customs software's such as Thyme IT.
  • Experience with DAFM requirements is advantageous.
  • Excellent knowledge of Irish customs procedures & systems.
  • Quick and accurate data entry skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with effective communication abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent MS Word & Excel skills.
