Senior Ecologist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Ecologist to join our Energy and Planning team. As an integral member of the team, you will work closely with fellow professionals to aid in the expansion of our business.

This role is ideal for candidates with a minimum of five years of experience in ecology or a related field. You will have expertise in ecological consultancy services, site surveys, and environmental management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality ecological consultancy services to clients;
  • Provide expert ecological input for a range of projects;
  • Conduct and supervise site ecological surveys and fieldwork;
  • Prepare and monitor Construction Environmental Management Plans;
  • Undertake Appropriate Assessments and Ecological Impact Assessments;
  • Write technical reports and other deliverables;
  • Manage quality, attention to detail, and accuracy;
  • Develop excellent relationships with clients and design teams.

Requirements:

  • A degree in ecology or a related subject;
  • A minimum of five years post-graduate experience;
  • Consultancy experience is desirable;
  • Member of CIEEM, CIWEM, or equivalent professional body;
  • Detailed knowledge of wildlife and conservation legislation within Ireland;
  • Excellent technical report writing skills;
  • Experience in preparing Appropriate Assessments and Ecological Impact Assessments;
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and project management skills;
  • A full clean driver's license.
