Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Calibration Technician to join our team at QCS Staffing. As a Calibration Technician, you will be responsible for performing calibrations on temperature, humidity, pressure, weight, flow, speed, conductivity, pH, and viscosity instrumentation in line with company and cGMP procedures and requirements.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform Calibrations: Conduct calibration activities on various instrumentation equipment, ensuring accuracy and precision in measurements.
  2. Investigate and Rectify Faults: Investigate, diagnose, and rectify instrumentation faults arising during calibration, taking prompt corrective action to minimize downtime.
  3. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of calibration activities, including non-conformances and deviation reports, ensuring timely submission to relevant authorities.
  4. Equipment Management: Ensure that calibration reference standards used are up-to-date and labelled as such, notifying the Calibration Lead of pending out-of-date equipment in a timely manner.
  5. Training and Development: Stay updated with all relevant site training requirements, maintaining proficiency in CMMS systems and Microsoft packages.
  6. Workplace Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and tidy working environment in line with 5S pillars.

Desirable Experience and Qualifications:

  • A time-served Electrical & Instrumentation apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications.
  • Previous experience of calibration activities within the pharmaceutical industry, especially in Clean Rooms, or in a similarly highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of problem-solving issues associated with instrumentation / measurement devices.
  • Previous experience in CMMS systems for recording calibration records – SAP / Maximo / ProCal.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft packages (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
