Process Optimization Specialist

We are dedicated to protecting and enhancing the gift of sight for millions of people worldwide. As a Process Optimization Specialist, you will play a crucial role in helping us achieve our mission.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Subject Matter Expert for high-volume, automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Diagnose and correct line detractors to ensure seamless operations.
  • Use data-driven insights to identify top-line detractors and drive continuous improvement through uptime, yield, and cycle time optimization projects.
  • Organize, control, and improve planned maintenance and calibration activities.
  • Assess machinery to source appropriate spare parts.
  • Support site strategy and capacity expansion projects.
  • Provide technical training to operations and maintenance personnel on an as-needed basis.
  • Model good safety and quality behaviors.
  • Track and report on safety, quality, and operational open items.
  • Develop work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Write and execute process engineering studies and protocols.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Engineering (or equivalent) with 5+ years of experience.
  • Master of Engineering (or equivalent) with 3+ years of experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to optimize highly automated production lines within a regulated environment.
  • Lean/Six Sigma and/or project management certification is preferred.
