Job Overview:

The successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert for high volume, automated contact lens manufacturing equipment. Key responsibilities include supporting day-to-day operations through diagnosis and correction of line detractors, using data to identify top line detractors and drive continuous improvement, and organizing planned maintenance and calibration activities.

Key Duties:
  1. Provide technical expertise on high volume, automated contact lens manufacturing equipment.
  2. Support day-to-day operations by diagnosing and correcting line detractors.
  3. Utilize data analysis to identify and prioritize areas for process improvement.
  4. Develop and implement efficient maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize site strategy and capacity expansion projects.
  6. Deliver training programs to ensure operations and maintenance personnel have the necessary skills and knowledge.
  7. Model safe and quality behaviors within the workplace.
  8. Track and report on key performance indicators related to safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
  9. Create and maintain relevant work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  10. Design and execute process and equipment engineering studies and protocols.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent degree, plus 5+ years of experience.
  • Master of Engineering or equivalent degree, plus 3+ years of experience.
  • Proven ability to optimize highly automated production lines in a regulated environment.
  • Lean/Six Sigma or project management certification is preferred.
