Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. P prepare detailed cost estimates for all project phases, including tender documents, contracts, drawings, BoQs, specifications, budgets, and maintaining accurate records.

  2. Performs material take offs prior to purchase requisitions for projects and reports any irregularities or discrepancies to project management.

  3. Perform post-contract duties, including measurements, final accounts & evaluation reports, preparation of payment applications, and agreeing with clients.

  4. Work closely with project teams to ensure that measurements, variations, and contractual matters are properly recorded and notified.

  5. Manage, examine, control, and evaluate subcontractor works, evaluate claims, variations, invoices, and ensure contractual obligations are satisfied.

  6. Evaluate quotations obtained from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring quantities and specifications are in line with tender and project specifications.

  7. Prepare and update material status and procurement schedules.

  8. Provide necessary detailed backup to support commercial tracking and costing.

  9. Conduct meetings with clients, site managers, project managers, and site engineers.

  10. Identify and track changes to designs and project work, adjusting budgets accordingly.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or Mechanical Engineering
  • 1-3+ years of Quantity surveying/Mechanical Engineering experience
  • Technical and practical knowledge of contract development, award, administration, and close-out relating to multi-discipline civil/construction projects
  • Capability to accept responsibilities and accomplish project objectives in a timely manner
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Good communication skills and strong English capability
