  4. Participating in and representing the function at relevant business forums.
  5. Developing a skills matrix aligned with product roadmaps, identifying training and coaching needs to ensure technical and team skills are maintained.
  6. Preparing and delivering annual budgets (headcount, expenses, capital) for review and approval. Managing personnel requisitions and capital expenditure requests.
  7. Providing guidance in complex situations, removing obstacles, allocating resources, and interfacing with other functions for issue resolution.
  8. Ensuring compliance with all relevant quality, regulatory, and safety standards.
  9. Assessing new product charters and financial plans to determine key deliverables like standard costs and launch requirements.
  10. Identifying, hiring, and managing contract SMEs to validate and release new processes/equipment to production according to Stryker standards.
  11. Partnering with HR to identify, acquire, develop, and retain top talent.
  12. Setting priorities with a sense of urgency to ensure timely delivery of new products respecting quality and cost constraints.
  13. Performing other duties as assigned.
