About This Role

We are seeking a skilled Communications and Events Manager to join our team at FoodCloud. As a key member of our public engagement team, you will be responsible for implementing internal, external, and partner communications alongside marketing activities for FoodCloud.

Responsibilities:

  • Communications and Reputation Management:
    • Implement an integrated communications plan to maintain a consistent, positive media presence.
    • Monitor press stories related to FoodCloud and identify potential challenges for our brand.
    • Ensure consistency of brand tone throughout all creative elements.
    • Lead on ensuring smooth participation in media opportunities.
    • Collaborate with FoodCloud's HR team on internal communications.
    • Report to senior management and the Board on communications team performance.
  • Digital Marketing Strategy:
    • Oversee the implementation of our digital marketing strategy, including web, email, social media content planning, and creation.
    • Contribute to internal and external content creation, such as articles for LinkedIn and our website.
    • Measure, report, and provide recommendations on digital marketing campaign performance.
  • Account Management:
    • Support FoodCloud's food and fundraising teams in managing partner communications and activations.
  • Event Planning and Management:
    • Lead on the implementation of a major European event in Dublin.
    • Support or lead on other FoodCloud events with the advocacy, food, and fundraising teams, as well as attendance at trade shows and conferences.
    • Support HR with employee engagement events.
  • Additional duties as required per business needs.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience working in communications, including digital marketing campaign implementation.
  • 2+ years' experience in event/project management.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout, and design skills, including presenting concepts verbally.
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing online marketing, including email, social media, and/or display advertising campaigns.
  • Able to work calmly under pressure and within a small dynamic team.
