Job Overview

Our organization is seeking a seasoned Automation Specialist to spearhead project workflow and support resources in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the expected quality standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing customized solutions, including manufacturing automation and safety systems
  • Leading the manufacture, build, and validation of systems, including pneumatics, servos, variable frequency drives, relays, communications networks, HMI touchscreens, and other related components
  • Creation and/or approval of documentation, such as user manuals, programming diagrams, network diagrams, and electrical drawings
  • Developing and documenting programs that are easily understood by trained personnel and are versatile
  • Supporting day-to-day manufacturing escalations
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Training operators and trainers on new systems

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Robotics/Automation or other relevant engineering discipline
  • 2+ years' experience in a high-volume automated manufacturing plant
  • Proficient with MS Office, Siemens, RS Logix, Auto CAD/solid works
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical and control systems, vision, sensors, inspection, and communications systems
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and proven track record
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels in the organization
  • Resourceful and motivated to succeed in a high-output environment
