Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Engineer to join our team in Dublin. As a key member of our database team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support for the Oracle Database estate and Exadata Engineered Systems.

You will work closely with our application development teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of complex projects. Your expertise in performance analysis and tuning, as well as your ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues, will be invaluable assets to our team.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from implementing new technologies to optimizing existing systems. You will also be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Oracle technology and apply this knowledge to improve our database environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise and support for the Oracle Database estate and Exadata Engineered Systems.
  • Work closely with application development teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of complex projects.
  • Develop and maintain sophisticated systems and solutions, integrating them seamlessly with existing technologies.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve resilience issues, understanding the importance of timely escalation.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 10 years' experience in Oracle Database Engineering.
  • Expert knowledge of Oracle 19c, Oracle 23AI, Exadata, RAC, Oracle Data Guard, RMAN, Recovery Appliance.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and a willingness to train/coach other team members.
