The successful Electrical Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for:

  • Preparing capital cost estimates
  • Assisting in tendering procedures and contract arrangements
  • Preparing pricing documents for tender packages

During the tendering phase, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing advice on tendering procedures
  • Drafting instructions to tenderers
  • Development of tender evaluation criteria
  • Drafting of PQQ questionnaires
  • Handling queries during the tender period
  • Commercial evaluation of all tender submissions
  • Negotiation with tenderers

Key responsibilities post contract include:

  • Reporting to the Commercial Manager and responsible for commercial aspects on the project
  • Preparation of Interim Valuations
  • Preparation of monthly Cost Reporting
  • Client and Contractor meetings
  • Negotiation and agreement of Variations
  • Review and assessment of Contract Claims
  • Agreement of Final Accounts

We are seeking candidates who possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in the Construction Industry
  • Life Science Project experience
  • Experience with contract indirect packages
  • Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with others
  • Quantity Surveying degree
  • Must be commercially aware, flexible and have ambition to progress within the organisation
  • Drive and determination to manage tight deadlines and deliver results
  • Ability to use time effectively, prioritize tasks and meet challenging targets
