Restaurant & Bar Operations Manager Job

Job Summary:

The Restaurant & Bar Operations Manager will oversee the efficient and professional operation of a high-end dining establishment. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, strong communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement SOPs to deliver superior customer service and ensure seamless operations.
  • Supervise department staff to maintain company brand standards and uphold exceptional customer experience.
  • Monitor payroll costs by compiling rotas in line with forecasted business levels and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Food Safety, Licensing Laws, Disability, and employment legislation.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and kitchen team to create engaging menu options that meet sales targets.
  • Train staff on upselling techniques and monitor performance to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Manage cleaning schedules and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the dining areas.
  • Communicate company services to guests, provide excellent customer relations, and participate in training exercises designed to improve performance levels.

Requirements:

To succeed as our Restaurant & Bar Operations Manager, you should possess:

  • A degree in Hospitality or related field (preferably with management experience)
  • Proven track record in managing high-pressure teams and achieving sales targets
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and work under pressure
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety procedures
