Dining Operations Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dining Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and professional operation of our dining areas.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To assist in implementing consistent delivery of superior customer service through the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • To ensure the department creates a professional impression on customers and team members.
  • To act on customer feedback, including complaints and compliments, relevant to your areas of responsibility.
  • To control and monitor payroll costs by ensuring rotas align with forecasted and actual business levels.
  • To supervise daily department operations, maintaining company brand standards and adherence to shift controls and procedures.
  • To comply with statutory and company requirements for Health and Safety, Food Safety, Risk Assessment, Licensing Laws, Disability, and employment legislation.
  • To suggest and assist with promotional opportunities to meet and exceed departmental sales targets.
  • To keep all team members sales-focused, ensure ongoing training, and submit training records to senior management.
  • To be knowledgeable of all food and beverage menus, working closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team.
  • To upsell throughout customer interactions and train staff to do so.
  • To conduct yourself professionally and courteously at all times.
  • To ensure customer satisfaction throughout their dining experience.
  • To maintain dining areas within cleaning schedules.
  • To read, understand, and comply with responsibilities outlined in the Health and Safety statement and Staff Handbook.
  • To ensure HACCP and cleaning schedules are completed daily, maintaining standards.
  • To participate in training and exercises to improve standards and performance.
  • To implement the company's customer relations policy.
  • To communicate the company's services to guests as required.
  • To arrive punctually in full clean uniform, wearing a name badge at all times.
  • To maintain high standards of personal hygiene and grooming.
Requirements:
  • A strong track record in managing dining operations, with experience in supervising teams and ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to problems.
  • High level of flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to work varied shifts and hours.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Good knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
