Key role of this position is to provide specialist assessment, treatment and information regarding communication and swallowing abilities for individuals attending the speech and language therapy service in ENT.
About This Opportunity- This is a key specialist role within our department responsible for providing expert assessment, intervention and consultation services to individuals with complex communication and swallowing disorders.
- To provide specialist assessment, treatment and advice on communication and swallowing difficulties for patients requiring speech and language therapy in ENT departments.
- To work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that patient care is comprehensive and effective.
- To develop and implement clinical guidelines and protocols for the assessment and management of patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
- To contribute to research and audit activities within the department and beyond, to inform evidence-based practice and improve patient outcomes.
- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or related field.
- Possession of HCP Clinical Specialist Status (or willingness to work towards it).
- Experience working as a Clinical Specialist Speech Therapist.
- Familiarity with current best practices and research in communication and swallowing rehabilitation.
