Expert ENT Specialist Speech and Language Therapist Wanted

We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in the ENT department. As a key member, you will provide specialist speech and language therapy services to patients attending our ENT and voice service.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments, treatments, and information regarding communication and swallowing abilities of individuals, ensuring full client and family involvement.
- Manage and run the SLT-led parallel clinic in ENT in conjunction with relevant ENT consultants and SLT managers.
- Develop skills required to provide specialist innovative services and advance SLT practice in the area as appropriate.
- Lead the development of innovations in and adhere to best practice in quality standards and clinical effectiveness in the clinical area.
- Manage and prioritize complex and specialized caseloads relating to ENT-related disorders according to need and departmental guidelines.
- Statutory Registration as a Speech & Language Therapist by the Speech & Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
- 5 years full-time (or equivalent) post-qualification clinical experience, with 4 years consecutive in the required area of specialism.
- Proven record of clinical excellence in the specialism, with achievements in areas of clinical audit, quality improvement initiatives, practice development, teaching, and research.
- Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the required area of specialism, in the form of postgraduate qualifications or relevant courses.
Maintain close liaison with all relevant personnel, including primary care and other services, to provide a quality SLT service that responds to the needs, priorities, concerns, and safety of the patient.
Education and TrainingPlay an active role in departmental in-service training, providing supervision/mentoring for other speech and language therapy staff and speech and language therapy assistants as required.
