Job Title:

Storage Facility Operations Manager

Overview:

The Storage Facility Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a self-storage facility or facilities. The manager ensures customers have access to their stored items at all times and maintains an organized, clean, and safe environment.

  • Communicate with potential, new, and existing customers about rates, rental terms, and resolve customer service issues during daily interactions.
  • Treat all customers with courtesy and professionalism.
  • Maximize sales opportunities with customers.
  • Manage daily operations, ensure property security, and ensure all products are safe and fit for purpose.
  • Manage aged debt, process payments, and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Conduct regular inspections for cleanliness and maintenance, ensuring PPE is worn when on-site.
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions, maintenance, repairs, and compliance checks such as PAT testing and fire safety inspections.
  • Be IT proficient, especially with CRM systems, and manage stock availability.
  • Follow all health & safety, GDPR, and ISO policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

As a Storage Facility Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a self-storage facility or facilities. This includes communicating with customers, managing daily operations, and ensuring property security.

  • Customer Communication:
    • Communicate with potential, new, and existing customers about rates, rental terms, and resolve customer service issues during daily interactions.
  • Operations Management:
    • Manage daily operations, ensure property security, and ensure all products are safe and fit for purpose.
  • Financial Management:
    • Manage aged debt, process payments, and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Health and Safety:
    • Conduct regular inspections for cleanliness and maintenance, ensuring PPE is worn when on-site.
    • Maintain accurate records of transactions, maintenance, repairs, and compliance checks such as PAT testing and fire safety inspections.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Pleasant personality with a helpful attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Adaptable, able to work under pressure, and problem-solve.
  • Organized with good attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with CRM systems.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, often alone.
