Healthcare Echocardiogram Specialist

The Clinical Support Specialist role plays a vital part in delivering high-quality patient care by performing focused echocardiograms for patients referred by General Practitioners or Cardiologists within an Integrated Care Hub.

• Deliver the Focused Echocardiogram Service primarily across the Southeast Health Region, ensuring consistency and accuracy in imaging through advanced AI-driven guidance software.
• Prioritize urgent referrals and complete scans within specified timelines, maintaining efficient service delivery.
• Clearly explain procedures to patients, addressing questions and ensuring comfort throughout the process, fostering positive patient experiences.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support integrated patient care, contributing to seamless coordination of services.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, seeking innovative ways to enhance service delivery and promote operational efficiency.

• Registration as a Registered Nurse in Ireland (An Bord Altranais / NMBI) is mandatory.
• Experience in Cardiology is preferred but not essential for this position.
