About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our retail team as a Photo Centre Operative. As a key member of our sales floor, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales in our Photo Centre department.

Your primary focus will be on processing customers' orders efficiently, while providing technical support and maintaining a safe and welcoming work environment for our customers.

You will be responsible for selling to and assisting potential customers, maintaining excellent department displays, demonstrating top-quality customer service, and addressing any photofinishing or photographic questions they may have.

In addition to these key responsibilities, you will also be required to:

  1. Sell to and assist potential customers
  2. Maintain an excellent Photo Centre Department display
  3. Demonstrate top quality customer service
  4. Assist customers with any photofinishing or photographic questions
  5. Display excellent product knowledge and ongoing interest
  6. Build up excellent product knowledge of various film types, cameras, accessories, and their usage
  7. Provide technical support as required
  8. Handle after-sales issues in a professional manner
  9. Adhere to all Photo Centre uniform requirements and safety guidelines
  10. Deal with all administration relevant to sales
Your Profile

We are looking for individuals who possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and are able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have a strong ability to multitask, handle multiple priorities simultaneously, and maintain a high level of productivity under pressure.

Key qualifications and skills include:

  • Leaving Cert or equivalent
  • Experience working face-to-face with the public in a customer service role
  • Knowledgeable about digital imaging and photography
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to be welcoming and charismatic with all customers
  • Confident, outgoing, and people-oriented individual
  • Ability to handle, count, and deal with money
  • High degree of personal and interpersonal energy at all times
  • Ability to work under pressure and achieve results
  • Attention to detail and organised approach
