Job Summary
We are seeking an R&D Innovations Director to join our team at Life Science Recruitment Ltd.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for R&D operations, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Lead a team of senior engineers in the design, development, and testing of medical devices, focusing on Class III cardiovascular devices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate R&D activities with manufacturing and regulatory compliance.
- Manage external vendors and partners to support product development, ensuring timely delivery and quality results.
- Prepare and submit regulatory documentation to agencies, authorities, and notified bodies.
- Stay up-to-date with FDA and ISO 13485 requirements, implementing them into new product development processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum seven years of experience in medical device product development, with three years in project management/leadership roles.
- Proven leadership and project management skills, with experience in people mentoring and development.
- Demonstrated expertise in design, verification, and process validation processes.
- Strong knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes applicable to the medical device industry.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Good problem-solving mindset and ability to work in low-structured environments.
