Job Title:

Trainee Accountant

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious individual to join our team as a Trainee Accountant. The ideal candidate will be eager to start their career in accountancy and possess strong communication and English language skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of financial statements;
  • Participation in audit performances;
  • Compilation of management accounts and other management reporting and bookkeeping;
  • Preparation of corporation Tax, VAT, RCT and Income Tax returns;
  • Processing of payroll;
  • Liaising with banks, legal firms, Revenue and other professional advisers;
  • Management of client Company Secretarial requirements;
  • Support under the supervision of senior staff members;
  • Preparation of VAT returns;
  • Attendance at client premises;
  • Communication and liaison with external clients;
  • Delivery of high-quality work in terms of timeliness and technical competence;
  • Participation in teamwork and activities enhancing standards for the business and client;
  • Representation of the firm internally and externally;
  • Delivery of the Xeinadin vision and values.
Requirements:
  • Achievement of at least a 2.1 degree in accountancy or a business related field;
  • Obtainment of 420+ points at Leaving Cert level (or equivalent);
  • Motivation and ability to work both as part of a team and independently;
  • Possession of strong communication and English language skills;
  • Enthusiasm about developing their career;
  • Commitment to continually improving their skills and knowledge.
