Infection Control Clinical Nurse Specialist

Clinical Nurse Specialists in Infection Control play a vital role in maintaining patient safety and preventing hospital-acquired infections. We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our IPC team at a well-established hospital in North Dublin.
About the Role:
This is a CNM2 Grade position, requiring a Registered General Nurse with excellent patient care skills and 2 years plus experience in Infection Control. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, be computer literate, and possess up-to-date knowledge in best practice for issues relating to Infection Control.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures* Develop and implement infection control strategies to prevent hospital-acquired infections* Collaborate with healthcare teams to promote a culture of patient safety and quality care* Maintain accurate records and reports as required by regulatory bodies* Participate in continuing professional development to stay current with best practices in Infection Control
Requirements:
* Be a Registered General Nurse and registered with the NMBI* Have a minimum of 5 years post-registration experience* Possess a minimum of 2 years experience in the specialist area of IPC* Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills* Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team* Computer literacy and proficiency in relevant software systems
