Land Management Specialist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Land Management Specialist to join our team in Ireland. As a key member of our Land Team, you will play a vital role in the delivery of land referencing, landowner engagement, consultation management, land access, formal consents, statutory orders, compensation agreements and land acquisition services for strategic infrastructure development projects across Ireland and the UK.

As a Land Management Specialist, you will be responsible for leading a team of technical specialists to ensure successful project delivery, providing trusted advice to clients, managing relationships, and advising on land issues within Ireland and the UK.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of technical specialists to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to high standards.
  • Provide trusted advice to clients and manage relationships.
  • Advise on land issues within Ireland and the UK, including relevant statutory processes.
  • Secure land rights for high-profile, strategic infrastructure projects.
  • Liaise with landowners, auctioneers, land agents, legal representatives, planning authorities, key stakeholders, contractors, and clients.
  • Work closely with the Land Team and collaborate with engineering, environmental, and planning teams.
  • Lead on quality assurance of deliverables, including identification of land interests and rights, negotiation of access to land for surveys, consents, and acquisition of land rights.
  • Promote Land services and contribute to business development across various sectors.
  • Support knowledge sharing and lessons across regions and projects.
  • Develop efficient working practices and promote innovation in the team.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Expertise in rural environments, property, communities, and agricultural working practices.
  • Experience working on infrastructure development schemes with multi-disciplinary teams across various sectors and locations.
  • Experience negotiating commercial terms with landowners and knowledge of the legal process for acquiring wayleaves and easements.
  • Demonstrable experience reducing land risk for clients and advising on land-related matters throughout all stages of a project lifecycle.
  • Proven track record of developing Orders and/or acquiring consents and interests in land, and knowledge of relevant legislation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with strong influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Motivated and able to work in a team and on own initiative, being able to work under pressure and deliver high-quality outputs.
  • Strong landowner and public engagement skills.
  • Good business and IT skills.
  • Excellent adherence to quality assurance and good document management skills.
  • A degree in Geography, Agriculture, Land and Estate Management, or similar.
  • Chartership or membership of a Professional body would be advantageous.
  • A full driver's license is essential.
