SimoTech is a leading provider of manufacturing automation and IT systems engineering, project management and validation services. We partner with life sciences companies to design, build, operate and optimise critical process automation systems that deliver fast track project delivery, operational efficiency, improve manufacturing agility and achieve regulatory compliance.

We are seeking a technical hands-on Project Engineer with exposure to managing data centre projects from initiation to completion. Responsibilities include:

  • Oversight of daily activities of IT/technical third-party vendors
  • Management of communication between local and remote teams, including third parties
  • Collaboration with design-partners, installers, and construction companies to consistently deliver the required quality of service
  • Partnership with Data Centre Architects and the Infrastructure Manager to highlight non-compliance risks, delays, potential issues either planning or technical
  • Maintenance of a safe work environment while ensuring project deadlines are delivered as per schedule

The ideal candidate will have experience with building systems and supporting data centres, including MEP and security systems supporting data centre and VDER'S. The role requires a strong understanding of data centre operations and a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

Suitable qualifications for this role include:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, engineering, or similar
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience within data centres or hosting services
  • In-depth understanding of IT infrastructure, networking protocols (TCP/IP), and hardware components (servers and switches)
