About Us
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Staff Nurse to join our team at Leopardstown Care Centre.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise, lead, and manage nursing staff, delegating and allocating duties as necessary.
- Ensure residents receive dignified, respectful, and individualized care.
- Implement and maintain the Named Nurse concept, adhering to relevant documentation and policies.
- Establish meaningful relationships with residents, relatives, and visitors, providing support and comfort.
- Maintain accurate records, adhering to legislation and Mowlam Standards.
- Ensure adherence to drug and medicine policies, procedures, and HIQA standards.
- Liaise with healthcare professionals regarding resident discharges and continuity of care.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- First-level registration with the NMBI live register.
- Previous managerial training or experience is advantageous.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Sound decision-making ability and self-motivation.
About the Role:
This role requires maximum flexibility to work in a dynamic nursing home environment. Specific tasks and objectives will be agreed upon periodically with the Home Manager.
