
Senior Flood Risk Manager

As a Senior Hydrologist, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing complex flooding and hydrology projects from the initial concept stage to handover. This includes hydraulic modeling, flood risk assessments, and drainage design.
You will be responsible for developing and reviewing technical reports, design documentation, and project proposals. Your strong technical expertise and leadership skills will enable you to provide guidance to project teams and ensure high-quality deliverables.
Key aspects of this role include liaising with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to obtain project approvals and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Additionally, you will mentor and support the professional development of junior engineers, participate in business development activities, and stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications- A third-level degree qualification in Engineering or a related field.
- At least 7 years' experience in flood risk management, hydrology, or a related field, preferably with a minimum of 10 years' postgraduate experience.
- A strong understanding of flood risk management principles, excellent project management skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships.
