Job Title: Animal Care Assistant

We are seeking a trustworthy and reliable individual to join our team at an equine rescue centre in Cork.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional animal handling skills with equines and canines, as well as basic education and communication skills. They should also have a keen interest in animal welfare and be able to work efficiently under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.

Key responsibilities include providing exceptional care and welfare to animals, which may involve working with sick, injured or traumatised animals.

Desirable skills include experience caring for felines, small mammals and wildlife, as well as experience with horsebox towing and tractor driving.

This is a permanent position based at the equine rescue centre in Cork, requiring occasional travel and a 7-day rota commitment.
