Role Overview

This role offers a unique opportunity to drive innovation in sustainable energy solutions for coastal communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement renewable energy projects, leveraging creativity and technical expertise.
  • Conduct research to design mechanical and electrical solutions for solar distillers, improved cookstoves, and other renewable energy devices.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to manage project finances, resources, and budgets.
  • Participate in hands-on installation work and maintenance of projects, ensuring long-term success and sustainability.
  • Lead crowdfunding campaigns to secure funding for new energy projects, enhancing marketing and outreach skills.
  • Engage in educational seminars on international development, social enterprise management, and research techniques.
Notable Achievements
  • Established a 13.04 kWp Microgrid in Justo Pastor, providing isolated communities with access to energy for the first time.
  • Installed an 11.28 kWp system for a Medical Center in Talara, safeguarding vaccines and medications.
  • Designed and implemented improved cookstoves for clean cooking access and respiratory health using bioconstruction techniques.
Logistics and Benefits

Daily flights from Lima to Talara are supported, and airport transfers are provided. Private accommodation, meals, and weekly restaurant experiences are included.

A weekly extracurricular activity is available, and the programme cost starts at 2150 for the first 2 weeks.
