NPD Manufacturing & Process Development Engineer

The New Process Development (NPD) Manufacturing and Engineering role involves leading project-related engineering activities within the NPD function, providing engineering support to the manufacturing department during new product introduction cycles.

This position is responsible for developing both existing and new process technologies required by new products and prototypes. Key responsibilities include driving product and process improvements as part of the NPD team, managing new designs through the product lifecycle into manufacturing, and collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure all new products fit within existing manufacturing capabilities.

Additionally, this role will work closely with Lean and Operations teams to develop world-class manufacturing standards, display customer focus and accountability for quality and timeliness of work, manage variable workloads across different projects to meet NPD requirements, design and introduce manufacturing processes for new products to meet productivity and quality demands, and ensure complete and effective validations are carried out on all processes before transferring to manufacture.

A successful candidate will have a strong mechanical background with good knowledge of metals processing, ability to develop process settings/windows using scientific methodology, knowledge of Six-Sigma methodology, problem-solving tools, and Lean Manufacturing principles, and a Level 8 Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.

Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role is required, along with excellent communication and collaboration skills, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement and innovation.
