Job Title: Water Sector Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee challenging Civils / MIECA projects in the water sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing contracts from pre-commencement through to operational handover, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.

The successful project manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of build only or design and build contracts for public and private clients, including works to develop company standing as a main contractor in the water and wastewater sector in the Midlands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To manage and oversee all aspects of project management, project control, engineering management, and construction
  • Management of a project team including design staff, project staff, sub-contractors and support staff
  • Support senior management in delivering contract objectives to client goals and objectives
  • Effective maintenance and development of healthy client and stakeholder relationships throughout the project from commencement to close-out
  • Proactive resolution of performance, scope, cost and schedule issues
  • In-depth programme planning and scheduling of project deliverables and resource loaded schedules for design and contract administration services
  • Consistent implementation of health, safety, quality and environmental procedures across all contracts

About You

  • Degree in Civil, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • 8+ years experience in water and wastewater industry contracting, including site supervision and design
  • Comprehensive knowledge of water and wastewater design and operational processes
  • Good contract knowledge
  • Successful track record in delivering multiple infrastructure contracts
  • Motivated self-starter with ability to manage all aspects of design and build contracts
  • Excellent communication skills with clients, subcontractors and in-house staff
