The Engineering Technician for the Electronic Engineering & Communications Department plays a vital role in providing specialized technical support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for technical support requests from staff across all departmental programs.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair specialized laboratory equipment, including robotics systems, biomedical devices, industrial controllers, and electronic components.
  • Install, configure, and manage software and hardware relevant to electronic design, simulation, and programming.
  • Provide hands-on technical assistance to students and lecturers during practical sessions, labs, and project work.
  • Assist with the procurement, inventory, and lifecycle management of all technical equipment and components.
  • Ensure all equipment and lab environments comply with safety standards and best practices.
  • Keep detailed records of technical issues, maintenance activities, and system configurations.
  • Stay current with advancements in the fields of electronic engineering, robotics, and cybersecurity to help identify and integrate new technologies into the department's curriculum and research.
