Migration and Modernization Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Migration and Modernization Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in planning, preparing, and delivering complex transformation and migration projects.

Your primary responsibility will be to work with customers and partners to assess their organizational readiness to perform cloud adoption. You will help them define goals, objectives, and business outcomes, and develop and align cloud vision with relevant stakeholders to meet those outcomes.

You will also identify solutions that help customers, partners, or internal teams overcome technical as well as organizational challenges. Your collaboration with Subject Matter Experts will support pre-sales activities, and your experience with project management and agile methodologies will ensure successful delivery.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to leverage your knowledge of migration tools, such as CloudEndure, Carbonite Migrate, Zerto, and VMware HCX, to migrate applications from on-premises to the AWS Cloud. You will also be working with the AWS platform and its compute, storage, networking, and migration services.

Requirements:

• ">
• Multiple years of project experience in delivering large-scale migration programs">
• Hands-on expertise in migration strategy design, migration business case creation, application portfolio analysis, application assessment, migration process design, migration tool implementation, migration execution, or operational integration">
• Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with Executives, IT Managers, developers, and business leaders">
• Solid experience with project management and agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum, PMP, ACP, Prince 2, or any other)">
• Familiarity with the AWS platform and its compute, storage, networking, and migration services">

Preferred Qualifications:

• ">
• Hands-on experience migrating applications from on-premises to the AWS Cloud">
• Understanding of virtualization technologies and cloud architecture patterns that leverage load balancing, horizontal scalability, and high availability">
• Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in a technical field such as Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or Math">
