System Engineer for Core Technologies

We are seeking a skilled engineer to join our team and lead the development of core technologies that drive our product.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with domain experts to shape our technical strategy and infrastructure as we grow.
  • Own aspects of our infrastructure and execute on high-impact projects, including writing application code, automating systems, and improving observability.
  • Value agility and simplicity while prioritizing scalability and uptime. Our continuous deployment approach focuses on gradual improvements.
  • Contribute to all phases of software development, from ideation to implementation.
  • Play an active role in the hiring, mentoring, and career development of other engineers.
Requirements:
  • Excellent engineering and decision-making skills in a high-stakes environment.
  • 8+ years experience in a production environment, with significant contributions to the design, architecture, and optimization of distributed systems.
  • Expertise in backend technologies such as MySQL, Elasticsearch, and Linux.
  • Demonstrated capability to innovate and optimize at the system level.
  • Significant impact on the product and/or the teams worked with.
  • Proficient with standard software engineering methodologies.
  • Deep understanding of modern web applications and distributed systems.
