Respiratory Science Leader

The Respiratory Physiology Department at St Vincent's University Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Respiratory Physiologist to lead the department, oversee clinical research projects, and provide expert advice on respiratory physiology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Respiratory Physiology Department, ensuring high-quality patient care and outcomes.
- Oversee clinical research projects, including study design, data analysis, and manuscript preparation.
- Provide expert advice on respiratory physiology to medical staff, students, and researchers.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance departmental performance.
- Collaborate with other departments to promote a culture of excellence and innovation.
Requirements:
- PhD or MD degree in Respiratory Physiology or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in respiratory physiology, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in supervising staff and managing budgets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
