Circet Ireland's Power Division is seeking an experienced Training Instructor with knowledge of overhead power lines, civils, cabling & poling activities on power infrastructure and maintenance contracts.

The role involves performing training, assessment, and certification of our overhead power line workers from trainee to advanced levels.

Travel between the Training Academy in Dublin and offices in Roscrea and Roscommon is required; a full driver's license is necessary.

Responsibilities include:

  • Promoting a culture aligned with company values.
  • Training, assessing, and certifying OHL personnel.
  • Training and verifying construction activities and qualifications.
  • Collaborating with Contract Teams & the Head of Training to develop training solutions.
  • Ensuring compliance with governance and standards.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Facilitating communication and building partnerships for OHL training.
  • Assessing workers for compliance with legislation and standards.
  • Evaluating and updating training materials and programs.
  • Managing vocational qualifications and apprenticeships.
  • Delivering various training packages, including rescue and climber courses.
  • Producing annual training schedules.
  • Promoting OHL training and sourcing work.
  • Engaging in professional development.
  • Preparing certifications and managing training databases.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

  • Management or Supervision Qualification and Train the Trainer Certification.
  • Experience in the OHL industry at an operative level.
  • Knowledge of client authorization coding and approval levels.
  • Experience maintaining OHL equipment and safety procedures.
  • Understanding of OHL maintenance and installation techniques.
  • Knowledge of Ireland & UK Electricity Systems.
  • Practical competence in OHL maintenance techniques.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Previous training, coaching, and development experience is advantageous.
  • Full Driver's License.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and training databases.
