Senior Financial Director Opportunity

Hobson Prior is seeking a seasoned Senior Financial Director to join its rapidly expanding medical device organization. This strategic role offers the chance to shape the operational and financial framework of the company as it scales internationally.

About the Role
  • Oversee comprehensive financial planning, budgeting, and reporting while managing cash flow and vendor relationships.
  • Collaborate with external advisors to ensure compliance with tax and accounting regulations in Ireland and the US.
  • Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and long-term planning.
  • Develop scalable finance systems and processes to facilitate growth across regions.
  • Manage business operations, including HR, IT, facilities, and administration, ensuring alignment with the company's scaling needs.
  • Partner with functional leaders to streamline operations and remove bottlenecks.
  • Support international expansion by establishing consistent systems and processes across regions.
  • Lead cross-functional projects such as implementing new systems or setting up customer support functions.
  • Foster a positive company culture, oversee onboarding, and manage performance reviews.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Strong experience in finance, business operations, or general management, ideally within a high-growth company.
  • Professional qualification in accounting or significant hands-on experience in finance-related roles.
  • Proven ability to build and optimize operations, finance, HR, and administrative systems.
  • High technical literacy with a track record of implementing technology-based solutions.
  • Leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams and driving cultural alignment.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and solving problems independently.
  • Experience in an international context (Ireland/US exposure is a plus).
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to contribute strategically at a leadership level.
