Customer Service Supervisor



Job Description:
  • Lead and support a team of customer service representatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Manage daily operations, including roster planning and shift cover to ensure optimal call handling.
  • Handle escalated customer issues professionally and promptly, providing solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Collaborate with the Delivery Planning Coordinator to ensure orders are routed effectively, ensuring smooth workflow between customers, drivers, and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the customer service team, leading by example and setting high standards for performance and service quality.
  • Plan and manage rota scheduling, ensuring adequate staff coverage and minimizing disruptions to customer service.
  • Address customer complaints and issues efficiently, escalating complex cases when necessary.
  • Coordinate with delivery teams to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Schedule sales orders as required, working closely with drivers and depot teams to maintain efficient workflows.
  • Maintain effective relationships with customers, colleagues, and external stakeholders, promoting a positive company image.
  • Support new hires through training and onboarding programs, helping them develop skills and confidence.

Requirements:
  • Prior experience in a customer-facing or dispatch role, preferably with supervisory responsibility.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Familiarity with computer systems, phone networks, and local geography is advantageous.
  • A strong team leader with high standards for service quality, adaptability, and continuous learning.
