Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Leader to spearhead our on-site Health and Safety agenda. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and the ability to drive results.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing teams, coordinating projects, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design team in reviewing drawings, managing RFIs, and ensuring timely project delivery.
  • Coordinate subcontractor activities, oversee testing and commissioning timelines, and drive value engineering initiatives.
  • Maintain quality control procedures, champion internal QA systems, and ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
  • Implement and monitor DMS systems, manage benchmarks, and inspect processes.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships, including utility providers and local authorities.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, guiding their performance and development.
  • Coordinate site meetings, oversee temporary works, and integrate subcontractor work packages seamlessly.

Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified in Engineering (HETAC Level 8) with at least 5 years' relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to meet demanding programme and quality standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented, methodical, and self-motivated with strong initiative.
  • Comfortable managing multiple workstreams and assuming responsibility for key tasks.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
