Seeking to join a dynamic team of caregivers, we invite applications for a Health Care Assistant position. This role is an integral part of our multi-disciplinary team, responsible for providing exceptional care and support to residents in our purpose-built nursing home.
Job DescriptionThe Health Care Assistant will be responsible for undertaking various tasks that promote the physical, emotional, and cultural well-being of our residents. These include:
- Undertaking hygiene and dress functions for residents, ensuring their dignity and comfort at all times.
- Providing safe manual handling and transfer of residents within the nursing home.
- Delivering food and feeding residents, returning used trays and dishes to the kitchen.
- Assisting with bed making and linen changes, maintaining a clean and tidy environment.
- Providing incontinence and toilet care, including emptying commodes and replacing catheter bags.
Applicants should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. A caring and empathetic approach to resident care is essential, along with a commitment to delivering high-quality services.
