Orthopaedic Sales Specialist Opportunity

Tekno Surgical is recruiting a specialist to join our growing team in the Republic of Ireland. We distribute the Stryker portfolio of hips, knees and robotic implants and have a strong market share in the Republic of Ireland.

The role will be mainly based in the Limerick, Galway, Mayo area; however the candidate will be required occasionally to service other accounts as part of the ROI Recon & Mako team. Living in the Limerick / Galway area is preferable.

Key Outcomes
  • The specialist will be responsible for the complete orthopaedic joint replacement hips, knees and Mako robotics portfolio in your accounts.
  • The working environment will be mainly in the operating theatre.
  • Assist customers with clinical, technical and commercial enquiries.
  • Develop relationships with key customers into lasting business partnerships.
  • Achieve sales plans on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Business planning and implementation throughout the area of responsibility. Develop new business opportunities and determine new client and market potential through your contact with customers, colleagues and companies represented by Tekno in the Irish market.
  • Provide feedback on customers, promotional programs and environmental changes and provide ideas to improve product and company performance in the marketplace.
  • Attend relevant conferences and meetings both in Ireland and elsewhere.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A technical qualification and an aptitude for learning new surgical technologies.
  • A minimum of 3+ years successful track record in medical sales or technology service in the hospital environment is desirable, also experience in medical device manufacturing and design will be considered.
  • Candidates must have the ability to be comfortable working in the hospital operating room environment.
  • The role requires both technical and sales skills, with a primary focus on customer service and patient safety.
  • High reliance on drive and planning/organisational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: customer focused with strong influencing skills.
  • Good administrative and computing skills.
  • Commercially aware, able to manage a complex business.
  • Self-motivated and team player.
